Written resources
I have considerable experience producing written resources. I can produce clear, accurate copy quickly and create content for a range of resources, from the engaging and artistic to the concise and informative. Below are a few examples of the sort of work I have completed and will happily take on.
Reports, Evaluation, guides
If you need a report compiled, or a resource pack created, with information sheets and clear instructions for your audience (practitioners, volunteers, staff, members etc), then I have significant experience in putting together engaging, well researched, informative and comprehensive content. I also have experience compiling evaluation reports and public facing case studies.
A few examples:
Operation Earth handbook for science educators across the UK (co-wrote).
Royal Society of Biology guide to running a local event
OPAL (open-air laboratories) grant scheme case studies and review
A resource pack of communication material for Wildlife Trusts to use as part of the Action for Insects campaign, alongside Prof Dave Goulson’s report (resources not available publicly, but can be provided on request).
Educational resources
I create bespoke education and outreach resources to support campaigns, exhibitions and events. This includes exhibition guides, workshops and games. Below are a few examples:
Dive into the Jurassic educational resources for the Natural History Museum and British Council. Part of an interactive exhibition touring internationally.
Exploring Urban Nature - resources for schools. A series of activities designed to inspire young people to explore and better understand urban biodiversity and the issues affecting their local environments, such as climate change and pollution.
Articles and blogs
I have written numerous pieces for both print and online media. Below are a few examples.
‘That time I lay in the woods for an hour: Nature connection, wellbeing and young people’ Article written for National Museum Wales, as part of Welsh Government ‘Winter of Wellbeing’.
‘Get Your Story Straight’ (Part 1 + Part 2), articles exploring the importance of engaging narrative as a tool for effective communication

Creative content
I have a proven creative flair, especially for humorous and light-hearted scientific content, and have written songs and poems for numerous organisations, largely for live performance. I have also written numerous scripts for science shows, as well as educational videos and infographics. Below are a few examples.
